About Dr. Beeler
I hope to create a space that feels safe and nonjudgmental where we can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. We will work to help you reduce the impact of your feelings. My approach is warm, creative, and playful. I primarily work using psychodynamic or psychoanalytic therapy. Each individual is unique and I adjust my approach for you. I will help you engage with yourself and others in a more meaningful, connected, and fulfilling way. I will help you have more agency, feel less stuck, and free yourself from frustrating patterns to create new ways of relating. Therapy is an investment that usually takes time to make longer lasting change but hopefully over time you will feel more in control and able to manage life’s many responsibilities and obstacles. I will work my hardest to help you.
Experience
I earned my B.A. in Psychology from University of Michigan and my Doctorate in Psychology from Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, Yeshiva University. I have trained at Columbia Medical Center, NYU Postdoctoral Program in Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis, and Pratt Institute’s Counseling Center. I have training in psychoanalytic and relational therapy. My research focused on how microaggressions impacts identity. I teach doctoral students and psychoanalytic candidates at Yeshiva University and the Training Institute for Mental Health. Further, I have supervised social workers and psychiatric residents in training.
